Warsaw Airport Day Rooms and Short Stays

Warsaw Chopin has no hourly hotel inside the terminal and no sleep pods, so a daytime rest means either a lounge, which needs a boarding pass, or a hotel room bought for the day or the night. The options below run in order of how little of the airport you have to cross.

Day rooms at the hotels

No hotel near Chopin publishes an hourly tariff. Accor runs a room-for-a-day offer at selected hotels, sold on its own site for a daytime slot at a reduced rate; the Novotel Warszawa Airport, Mercure Warsaw Airport and ibis Styles Warszawa Airport are the Accor hotels close enough to matter, and availability changes by date, so search the offer for your day rather than assuming it. Elsewhere, ask for an early check-in or a late check-out: the Courtyard by Marriott Warsaw Airport and Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel both check in from 3:00 pm and out at 12:00 pm, and will sell an extension when rooms allow.

Do the sums: a night at the Première Classe Warsaw Airport or the ibis Styles often costs less than a lounge visit plus a taxi, and gives you a bed, a shower and a door you can lock for as many hours as you need.

Lounges with showers, airside only

The airport’s Executive Lounges, Fantazja and Preludium in the Schengen zone and Etiuda in the non-Schengen zone, sell single entries from 210 PLN online or 230 PLN at the kiosk and the lounge reception, valid up to three hours before departure, with hot food, drinks and workspaces. They are for departing and transfer passengers only. Our lounges guide has the access rules and which cards get in free.

Free rest zones

Beyond security, the quiet room two floors above Gate 33 and the soundproof armchairs across both zones are free and open 24 hours. They are rest zones, not showers, and cannot be booked; our sleeping in the airport guide covers them.

Choosing by how long you have

Under three hours, airside: use the armchairs or buy a lounge entry. Three to six hours on arrival: a day room if Accor has one, otherwise a taxi to a hotel is rarely worth it. Six hours or more, or an overnight connection: book a night at the Courtyard or Renaissance and walk, or take the Airport Hotel Okęcie shuttle, which runs around the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a hotel room by the hour at Warsaw Chopin Airport?

None of the eleven hotels near the airport publishes an hourly rate. Accor sells daytime rooms at selected hotels through its room-for-a-day offer, which can cover the Novotel, Mercure and ibis Styles near Chopin; check availability for your date on the Accor site or ask the hotel directly.

Is there a lounge I can use for a shower between flights?

The airport's three Executive Lounges are for departing passengers, up to three hours before the flight, from 210 PLN online. Arriving passengers ending their journey at Chopin cannot use them, so a shower on arrival means a hotel room.

Which hotel is best for a short daytime stay?

The Courtyard, three minutes on foot from the terminal, and the Renaissance, five minutes, save the most time. Ask about early check-in or late check-out for a fee; a full night is often the simplest booking.
